Every Beatnik Creative release has been great, this one may nudge out the others for my favorite spot for Cooper's hypnotic, inventive production paired with his pleasant voice.
Favorite track: Opposite of Low.

Turtle's debut EP is a strong effort. Combining contemporary folk à la, say, something like Bon Iver for example, with electronic music, the EP is full of captivating vocals, beautiful melodic sweeps, and great groove. The music has richness and depth without being impossible to approach. It touches and engulfs the listener. A prime example of the breath of fresh air indie artists have to offer.
Favorite track: Opposite of Low.

TURTLE is the beautiful electronic project from exciting new Glaswegian-based singer, songwriter and producer Jon Cooper.
‘Who Knows’ is his cinematic lead single from his debut EP of the same name, which is available digitally on our new label at Beatnik Creative.
It is also released on beautiful, limited edition 12" white vinyl.
We were blown away when we first heard Turtle's demos earlier this summer, Cooper holds so much of what gets us excited at Beatnik. Musically he resembles the atmospheric beauty of Moby and songwriting of Tom Yorke joined with the reflective, cinematic and contemporary landscapes of SOHN and Jon Hopkins. Resulting in his own emotive and arresting electronica. We are very honoured to launch our new label which such an incredible release.
The EP, as with all his music, was written and produced by the multi-talented Jon Cooper himself.
